The new moon on January 29th was in the sign of the water bearer, Aquarius. Aquarius is the stage of development that steps back from emotional involvement and witnesses what is, bringing objectivity. It looks with a sense of detachment at what has been created in the community and finds new vision to inspire humanity. With Saturn opposing the new moon a mood of critical judgment or discernment is present.
This month Saturn opposes Chiron, once again. Where are you aware of old repeating patterns that challenge your sense of well-being? The collective wounds of our culture and the wounds in leadership will be more publicly scrutinized.
Venus goes direct on Feb 3. What has come to your understanding since Christmas about relationship, about self-value, about what is essential in your life? Now as Venus moves forward in practical and goal orientated Capricorn, take actions to put things in place. Creativity and harmonious relationship are highlighted in March with Venus aligning with Mars in the social air signs. The Full Moon takes place on February 12th, in expressive and playful Leo.
As the Sun moves into watery Pisces on the 19th, it squares Mars moving into Gemini. Since the end of July 2005, Mars has been in steady pragmatic Taurus. Suddenly released from this fixed sign, Mars becomes like a humming bird, moving here and there, sampling. Patterns begin shifting and transforming. What may have been locked in, is now more flexible, mutable, more willing to take in other points of view. If you tend to be a person who takes on too many projects, social activities, be warned that Mars into Gemini increases scatteredness.
The New Moon on February 27th carries the Martian tone, increasing aggression and fighting. There may be frustration, with the inability to complete things, a low hum of irritation. Sudden events may unveil hypocrisy and the strong polarities in our lives.
