Spring is the time of Resurrection, kindling a resurgence of spirit over matter. As we move into Taurus, (the new moon in Taurus takes place on May 1), there is a steadying, and securing of what took place last month in Aries. The irony of the sign Taurus is that it is considered to be the most material of the signs yet on a higher level it is that energy which can perceive the essential reality contained within all forms. It is from that bull’s eye that healing comes when the polarity between matter and spirit is synthesized by recognizing the true quality of all life.

So it is that the festival of Wesak takes place at the full moon when the sun is in Taurus, (the moon being in Scorpio). This is the celebration of Buddha’s enlightenment, May 15. In this Taurus/Scorpio polarity, the mental, emotional history that conditions our reality with limitation, suffering and narrow exclusive viewpoints, reveals itself. Yet it is with and through the persevering energy of Taurus, that Buddha pierced the veils into the greater reality, to understand our true nature, our oneness.

Under the Wesak full moon, energies pour down from stellar realms and form a field of energy around the earth like a huge cloud formation. We can sensitize ourselves to this energy field to help us transform our limited consciousness. The Wesak moon this year is unique because it coincides with a lunar eclipse. Eclipses are like floodlights uncovering that which is hidden and needs to be cleaned out for true alignment. Here the intensity of past interactions and karma between people and groups of people will be exposed in order to be healed.

Jupiter has been opposing Neptune since August 2002. During this time we can see how deception has been used to veil truth. As Mars now aligns with Neptune we may see a disruption of the illusion in a dramatic way. Add to that, the trickster and childlike energy of Mercury as it ends its retrograde period, on the 26th of May, while squaring Jupiter and Neptune. Communications can be challenging but also have the potential to cut through deception. Creativity and spirituality are enhanced.

The Twelve Opportunities;

Aries (Mar 20-Apr 19): Attune to how you use your time, money and talents. Review what you really value and how to bring that more fully into your life. Take a look at what gets in the way of allowing change in your life. Watch for it in the area of deep interactions with others.

Taurus (Apr 20-May 20): There is a review now in how you do your life, how you celebrate who you are. You are keen to what you want. Let it be defined specifically, set a plan and timeline and work slowly to implementation. Be willing to clear very old issues in relationship.

Gemini (May 21-Jun 20): You need quality time to be by yourself. A very deep clearing is going on for you that will set the stage for something inspiring to enter your life. Do a house cleaning. Ground yourself through attending to health, and integration of mind, feelings and spirit. Old issues at work my alert you to unattended issues in yourself.

Cancer (Jun 21–Jul 21): This month highlights your interactions with the group, and your goals. Review your place there. Communications from friends may be both important and confusing or upsetting. Take time to unravel its meaning for yourself. This month you can clear an old issue with a child.

Leo (Jul 22- Aug 22): It’s a good time to realign with goals and purpose. Perhaps you’ve overextended yourself, and its time to review how you want to accomplish things. Communication from another may not be very clear. Get more information before you act.

Virgo (Aug 23-Sep 22): This month, give yourself time to imagine the future, contemplate your life meaning. Find what gets in your way in the routine life from fulfilling a dream. Travel is highlighted. Go deeper with your communications with those you are intimate with.

Libra (Sep 23-Oct 22): Are you taking an adventure with your loved one this month? It’s a good time to renew intimacy. Realize that you have seeded a change in yourself, which means taking responsibility for those new skills. You can now clear out old issues of insecurity, and reexamine your financial situation.

Scorpio (Oct 23-Nov 21): This is the time for partnership and review of what pulls you into partnership. Plant a new seed for what you want to flower. With the lunar eclipse old emotional issues may emerge to be witnessed and cleared. Balance is coming into your relationships. Your home may be full of celebration and discussion.

Sagittarius (Nov 22-Dec 20): I see you with your mind on bigger projects, and contemplating the meaning of things, yet the focus of your attention is now centered on more immediate situations and responsibilities at home. Bring awareness to your communications at home and in the working environment. Seed an intention for taking better care of your health.

Capricorn (Dec 21- Jan 19): There’s an enjoyable project you’ve been thinking of. Now’s the time to do it. Review your relationship and communications with your children.
