This month as the sun heats us up in fiery Leo, Saturn aligns opposite Neptune, (exact on August 31, though it’s influence has been growing since 2004.) The last time this took place was in 1972. Saturn/Neptune periods are known for moving us through a time of needing to face head on illusions and deceptions. A wonderful example of the Saturn Neptune opposition and the challenge of our times is clearly found in Al Gore’s movie, “An Inconvenient Truth”. This is the hard reality (Saturn) confronting denial (Neptune), or from another angle, the spiritual vision of interrelatedness, unity and the sacredness of life (Neptune) confronting the old structures of the status quo in government, politics and the economy (Saturn). Gore says, “People move from denial to despair (Neptune) as they begin to awaken to the truth of what is happening. What is important is that people come to the middle of those two extremes and ask what is my responsibility (Saturn) to affect change. It is essential now to build sustaining faith in humanity’s creativity and compassion to concretize our dreams of a world aligned with higher consciousness.
This Saturn Neptune alignment follows on the heels of Mars and Saturn in Leo, destruction exploding in the Mid East. We will continue to see American recognition of the failure of Bush’s policies and all policies of polarization. As Saturn aligns with Bush’s Venus we will see his popularity steadily diminish. He will be confronted with the kind of relationships he has cultivated and as a leader he becomes more isolated.
On August 9 the full moon in Aquarius aligns with the Saturn Neptune opposition. Where in your life are you confronting old structures and envisioning new possibilities for your life? If you feel overwhelmed, simplify, create space for attunement to your spirit. Neptune calls for surrender. The second week of August has an electrifying and quick moving energy. It can be crisis or break through. On August 20th take your time with communications, better yet honor a day of silence, with Mercury conjoining Saturn. The New moon on the 23rd ushers in the time of Virgo, a time of harvest from what we have created, a time of refinement of the previous outgoing Leo energy and ultimately a time of turning inward and nurturing our inner self and its relationship to the earth and cosmos. As we move further into this time of increased light and vibration of the Aquarian age, all the zodiac signs will be transformed into an expression of their manifestations at a higher level.
Twelve Opportunities:
Aries (Mar 20-Apr 19): Situations that were challenging last month are put aside. You just get down to what needs to be done. The second week of August has quick moving break through or crisis energy. Pause and center before your choice of response. Group dynamics versus individual expression is and has been the theme for rebalancing and clearing of misunderstanding.
Taurus (Apr 20-May 20): You have been extra sensitive for the past few weeks. Use that sensitivity to attune to the energy of the home and clear the space until the feng shu feels right, then feng shu your own pbeing, clearing the old and leaving open spaces to receive the new. The inner and the outer are in a process of reorganization. Listen as deeply as you can to family members without judgment, just see who they are
Gemini (May 21-Jun 20): This month you have to connect! There is a lot of traveling and communicating occurring. Siblings and neighbors challenge you to a broader perspective. The universe challenges you to cut through the extraneous and move toward a simple and clear focus. Your creativity will grow as you chose one thing.
Cancer (Jun 21-Jul 21): Last month’s sweetness now moves into a focusing on your resources and balancing your needs with the needs of others. You find yourself very expanded and feeling into others lives and situations. The opportunity is present to give yourself this focus.
Leo (Jul 22-Aug22): This is a powerful time for you to feel into your wisdom and feel yourself holding that a space for others. There is the potential for being with others in compassion, deeply feeling the presence of someone else’s life. It is a time to suspend plans. At the end of the month you set details in place.
Virgo (Aug 23-Sep22): Take time off by yourself this month, quiet time, reflective time. You can accomplish quick a lot this month. Watch mid-August for unexpected encounters with others that can irritate or anger you. Take the time to be true to yourself without the drama this can create.
Libra (Sep 23-Oct 22): You are savoring a fullness as you complete a phase in your life. Things are beginning to change and you are ready to move on. What next to create? Saying no to others is very important now.
Scorpio (Oct 23-Nov 21): There is lots of change for you this month, a shift in your social life and friends. You strongly feel your responsibilities at work, but home becomes a greater haven for you. You feel that you have passed through a series of tests and you have been successful.
Sagittarius (Nov 22-Dec 20): This is a time of tapping into your internal strength as you are tested by others, their opinions, attitudes, life directions. Your strength continues to support you as you attune to your original intent.
Capricorn (Dec 21-Jan 19): You are leaving behind a time of great effort, of feeling limitation in relationship and finances and entering a time of deep understanding and accomplishment. What you have worked for is here. You just don’t have to try so hard.
Aquarius (Jan 20-Feb 17): You really feel the pull for freedom this month. As you make space for yourself you have boundless creative energy. You are inventing new ways of working. Someone may feel jealous or judgmental of you. Let yourself step back from any personal reactions.
Pisces (Feb 18-Mar 19): This month you have a conflict or a strong difference of opinion from another. This person needs to release their anger or disappointment. As you listen with compassion things change very quickly and new beginnings take place.
