November begins with the Sun and four planets gathering in the deep, intense and transformational sign of Scorpio. As the later part of October brought Venus and Mars together, stirring up our relationships with heat and conflict, we now have the opportunity to explore intimacy, deep emotional transformation and realignment with a broader more objective perspective with others.
With Mercury retrograde, the time is marked for review of our feelings and communications in relationships on the deepest levels (and/or dealing with money matters). This Mercury retrograde highlights the end of Saturn, Neptune and Jupiter in the fixed signs. Forward motion will be slowed because this time period calls for great adjustment to agendas for success to take place over the next 4 years. Turn judgment into discernment. Understand that a deep cleansing is taking place. This is the power of Scorpio, which in the body rules the colon and the importance of letting go. It is second chakra energy of the emotions, sexual, intimate interaction, and money issues between different parties. The focus is on transformation, cleansing and release. Here we confront death and mortality, rebirth and transformation to encompass a more spiritual and wholistic integration in our daily lives.
With Saturn, Neptune and Jupiter aligning in the fixed signs, we do confront feelings of despair. Humanity comes up against a despair in the face of the reality that is before us. Our task is to hold the vision of wholeness, healing and our powers as creators. We are moving from an era of power over through money and corporate control to a situation of equal regard for each human life.
On a national level there is a battle for the soul of the country. During the election, with Mercury retrograde there will be confusion and challenges with voting, but truth will be pursued and surface. Bush’s popularity will continue to fall.
The full Moon takes place on November 5th. Mercury conjuncts Mars on the 11th. Communication can be trying because of Mars influence of impatience, urgency, frustration and anger. Handled skillfully one gets to the truth and activates change. Mercury goes direct on the 17th. Tremendous change is favored on many levels. Venus now moves into the optimistic and spirited sign of Sagittarius, bringing more ease in relationships.
The New Moon takes place on November 20th, in Scorpio, aligning with Jupiter. This initiates a month that favors movement away from the status quo especially with revolutionary planet, Uranus, going direct. On the 21 and 22nd the Sun and Jupiter move into Sagittarius. Jupiter was last in Sagittarius in 1995. After spending a year in the emotional, confrontational and intense sign of Scorpio, Jupiter now brings forward the themes of envisioning more optimistic futures, broadening our understanding of the world we live in environmentally, culturally, spiritually.
The Twelve Opportunities:
Aries (Mar 20-Apr 19): For Aries or anyone with an Aries influence you want to watch explosive tendencies in relationship, an extremely powerful time for transformation and moving energy. Eliminate any old patterns that constantly bring conflict. Change is the keyword. Review all money matters and update policies.
Taurus (Apr 20-May 20): You’ve been moving along in a positive manner. Now you are ready to let go of so much relationship difficulty. As if you climbed right down into your subconscious and can see your real motives for every action you take, every word you speak. Navigate these waters with as much observation as possible. The end of the month brings joy and situations lighten.
Gemini (May 21-Jun 20): Continue to slow yourself down. Think of yourself as a bird that now must swim in deep oceans. Watch work and employee situations for emotional situations arising. With Mercury retrograde, let yourself review your day-to-day routines. Clear out what is unnecessary.
Cancer (Jun 21–Jul 21): Friends, children, family and perhaps a lover play a big role this month. You have a great need to share your love, your insights. Take the time to look over your writing, your journals. You are balancing between your hopes and the realities that just are.
Leo (Jul 22- Aug 22): This is an excellent month to focus your energies on your home or to be at home, clearing, recycling, purging. Let yourself journey deep into yourself. Delegate more responsibility to other family members. This is the time to experience liberation after a long ordeal.
Virgo (Aug 23-Sep 22): This month your feelings are stirred. You feel the heat of Mars, the intensity of taking a stand for something. Your communication can be equally intense. You have the power to be direct and right to the point. With Mercury retrograde until the 17th be sure to review the facts.
Libra (Sep 23-Oct 22): The focus is on how you view and hold your resources, money and your talents. Take the time to feel into your talents and abilities. They are going through a transformation. Review money matters and especially your mental perspective on your financial situation. Time to clear worry and take whatever action is needed.
Scorpio (Oct 23-Nov 21): What a strong month for you. Celebrate yourself. If something is irritating or frustrating you, be prepared to take actions for change. With Mercury retrograde until the 17th, review carefully different ways to approach the situation. Don’t be stuck in one outlook. Later you feel more confident. You have experienced a testing time and are reaching the other side.
Sagittarius (Nov 22-Dec 20): The best way to work with the present energies is to schedule a retreat, whether one day or a week. You are completing a cycle of 12 years and moving into new terrain. As you take time to retreat, review the last number of years, see the growth and let go of behaviors that are no longer productive, especially in close relationship.
Capricorn (Dec 21- Jan 19): Friendship and family are very highlighted. Enjoy yourself. With Mercury retrograde until the 17th be thoughtful about your communications. You find yourself moving between enjoyment, affection and irritation. Be clear with yourself about what you want.
Aquarius (Jan 20-Feb 17): This is the month to present yourself, step out and express yourself. Show yourself. Whether in your career or fulfilling a purpose and a drive that you have felt within, you have the energy to accomplish it and people recognize your abilities.
Pisces (Feb 18-Mar 19): Are you having a spiritual experience and revelation or just an argument about points of view and belief systems. Take this month or week to retreat, to travel, and to experience a different way of living. Give yourself time to contemplate, write and study. Take advantage of this transformative time.
